Brief Answer:
canker sore

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your medical concerns.

You are concerned about an ulcer on the inside of the mouth that has been present for the past week. You have had similar ulcerations but these ulcerations usually resolve in a day or so. This time the ulcer is lasting longer. Because we are not exactly sure what causes these ulcers we do not have any treatment. Your bodies own immune response will improve the healing. I also have my patient take a half and half solution of Benadryl and Maalox. Take the solution and swish it in the mouth then spit it out. The Benadryl helps numb the ulceration and the Maalox coats the base of the ulcer allowing it to heal quicker.
