Question : My daughter has several blisters and sores in her mouth and it is extremely uncomfortable. She was checked for herpes ( it was negative) and it looks like mucasitus (sp).

What are treatments?

Most often oral sores occur due to deficiency of B vitamins. Taking Vitamin B complex tablet/capsule once or twice daily for 5-7 days usually resolves the problem.

For mucositis, application of topical anesthetic agents like lignocaine jelly provides relief.
