Suggest Treatment For Bloating, Weight Gain And Constipation

Question: I am having constipation for many years. Though , I am regular walker, active person having fairly good eating habits.
The days I have constipation , I develop bloating, weight gain ahich is quite measurable. I gain 3-4 kgs in 2-3 days .Apart from that I gain in size which is not only at waist, though maximum gain stays at waist. Face becomes puffy.
Have tried Isapgul husk , laxatives like dulcolax, home remedies but never a strong one. I do get some effect for a day or two but not beyond that. Have tried these product for 10-15 days at a stretch. Do not want to take anything habit-forming.
Please suggest

I appreciate your concerns.
I have gone through your history thoroughly.
It seems to me that you are probably taking more caloriegenic Food that is giving rise to weight gain and constipation.
For loosing weight and avoiding constipation you have to take more fiber in diet all the times.As fibers increase a bulk formation by absorbing water.
Take low calorie <1600 calorie / day.
Avoid red meat that causes constipation.
Green leafy vegetables are preferable.
Do daily aerobic exercises.

I am taking a pretty healthy diet. Low spice and high fibre. Red meat must be oonce in blue moon. Green veggies and curd at least once a day. Daals once a day. Pwer walking for half an hour or more. Waling to work -one km extra. Pretty active otherwise.

Apart from that, my weight increases irrespective of diet if I have constipation. and as soon as its relieved, weight comes down with no or minimal effort.

As you have told, I think you are doing the same as i have suggested.
There might be some metabolic cause or this is a habitual constipation problem that run into families.
You can do a Thyroid profile,Fasting and postprandial blood sugar and an ultrasound whole abdomen to rule out any surgical cause.
