Posted on Sat, 4 Apr 2015
Question: Question for Dr. Ratnesh Pandey - My father-in-law, 64 years old, has been diagnosed with a blockage in tear gland in the left eye, due to which his eyes water unconditionally sometimes. He has undergone syringing 4 times but not much relief. He has also been told that the ideal solution is surgery but at his age, it is not recommended. As of now, he takes Tear Natural Forte eye drops 2-3 times daily. Please advise a homeopathic remedy to get some relief and prevent any other eye infections.

Brief Answer:
Treatment required

Detailed Answer:
Hello
This is a very critical situation in the view of homoeopathic view of treatment for the disease. the response of medicine is good in early case and where in surgical intervention has not been done. But in your case 4 times syringing has been done and it seems that he is having this complain since more than 6 month. It means glands are completely dried. In such case medicine takes time to cure the disease.
Homeopathic has some good medicine but in your case course of treatment may be be a little more.
Hope this is clear to you
I am suggesting some medicine for you.
You can start as prescribed

Natrum Mur 30 6 pills 1 dose orally
Argent Nitricum 30 6 pills 1 dose orally
Cineraria Maritima (WSI) 3-4 drops twice in day (Eye Drop)

You can take Natural forte Eye drop along with the homeopathic medicine
Medicine help to cure the inflammation and once inflammation is cured then medicine will be given to restore the gland
Take the medicine for a month and revert me back so that further treatment can be decided
Hope this is clear to you
In case of any query feel free to ask

Thanks

Doctor, there's one more aspect - he has high blood pressure for which he takes an allopathic medicine. Keeping this in mind, are all the medicines you suggested safe?

Brief Answer:
Folloup

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Do not withdraw allopathic medicine for BP suddenly. First start the earlier prescribed homeopathic medicine then gradually stop your allopathic medicine after 5-6 days. This will give the medicine to respond.
You can take medicine for Gland simultaneous with current medication for BP. There is no harm in taking the medicine together.
Hope this is clear to you

Thanks
