Question: I had a horrible fall that resulted in trauma to the left skin fold by my vagina. A huge blood blister resulted. It's getting better, but very slowly and it hurts so much. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
Simple measures advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Can you please send a picture of the involved area so that I can have better judgment of the healing status of the wound.
In the meanwhile apply thrombophobe ointment twice a day on affected area and keep the area clean and dry.
Also take tablet diclofenac-serratiopeptidase combination tablet twice a day for 3 days and see the improvement but it is prescription drug so available only on a proper prescription slip.
It has antiinflammatory and healing property and thus will be very helpful.

Take care
Regards
Dr Manisha

First, I should mention this happened last Wednesday night and it's about 1/3 - 1/2 better; the pelvic bone was also bruised, and the pain from that is entirely gone. I also already have the prescription pill. So that's something.

Secondly, I'm hesitant, for obvious reasons to send a picture online of this area. Do you have policies to assure me that nothing will be done with the photo?

Brief Answer:
Simple Precautions will be enough

Detailed Answer:
No nothing will be done to the photo and complete privacy is ensured but your description is enough for me in case you are hesitant so take the care as advised and I hope you will be fine soon but in case it pains or there seems some infection or non healing ulcer like area on the involved region (I hope not, keep fingers crossed) then you might need to send a picture further assistance on treatment but in that case visit your doctor at the earliest as you might need to take antibiotics for complete relief.
But I think the wound is healing at a good speed so far and will be fine soon.
Also give hot fomentation twice a day so enhance healing process and obvious relief from pain or discomfort if any.
All the best.

My blood blister has ceased to cause me pain, and it has grown much smaller. It is, however, very much still there. Texture-wise, it's somewhat gelatinous when the material in it is felt.

Brief Answer:
Now it will heal by itself

Detailed Answer:
Its good to hear that and now you can stop all medicines and it will heal by itself.
You can only apply thrombophobe ointment on it in case you have slight irritation over it.
Otherwise most likely it will heal by itself.
