                                            Could be myoglobinuria
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a condition called as myoglobinuria. The muscles contain a component called as myoglobin. this is very similar to hemoglobin (the active component in blood).
What happens is that when the muscles break down, this myoglobin is released in blood and then excreted via the kidneys. Since it is also red, the feeling is that there is blood in urine. One of the commonest causes is unaccustomed exercise that makes the muscles fatigued and thereafter breaks it. AND 6 months of stopping the exercise is enough to unaccustom the muscles.
The risk is that this myoglobin may block the kidneys and cause renal disease. I therefore suggest that you meet a nephrologist as soon as possible. You are going to need a high dose of iv fluids and other supportive care and monitoring till the kidneys clear.
The abdominal pain occurs due to the start of the kidney damage by inflammation and fever is a symptom of inflammation. I therefore suggest meeting the nephrologist as soon as possible. Take plenty of oral fluids till then.
And I dont feel you should wait it out.
I hope to have answered your query.
I have tried to anticipate some of the questions that are usually asked in the follow up query and answered them in advance hoping that the time is not wasted in getting your fried to a doctor.
However, if you still need some more information, or need some clarifications on some aspects, please feel free to contact me for further information.
Best of luck
Dr Mittal
