Question : The patient has prostate cancer but has had clear or nearly clear urine. This morning the catheter collection bag turned bright red (no clots). Is this an emergency (it is Sunday) or can this wait to consult the doctor tomorrow morning?
Brief Answer:
Seems to be not an emergency.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
If no clear evidence of abundant hematuria, no blood clots, this is not an emergency.
This situation can wait till tomorrow.
Give your patient more fluids.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Greetings.
