Question : HI. My 4 year old has been on miralax for one month. I have tared back the dose prescribed by our pediatrician as directed. He has gotten relief and I cut his dose back to almost nothing. Today he is feverish and complains of body aches. He has a clear runny nose. Please advise. Thank you

Your son seems to have an upper respiratory tract infection. most common causes are viruses and they don't respond to antibiotics. Best course of action right now is to administer Tylenol for fever and body aches control. increased fluid intake and healthy diet would be very helpful with the recovery. Finally, gently flush the nostrils with Normal saline solution if they happen to get blocked. These measures would be enough.
