Brief Answer:
Possible Somatization syndrome.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I understand your concern.
Your friend seems to have psychosomatic disorder/more aptly called Somatization syndrome.
This can present with diffuse axial pain with the muscles and underlying deep tissues.
Correction of the underlying depression will ameliorate most of his somatic symptoms.
For this I advise you to take Tab Escitalopram 5mg initially twice daily q12hr for 3 months followed by 5 mg once daily for another 3 months under expert medical supervision.
Stress management and regular physical exercise for 20 mins a day is also helpful.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
