Brief Answer:
Not contagious.

Detailed Answer:
HI

Thanks for posting your query.

Boils is a very common disease that anybody can get it. There need not have to be anything wrong with the body. It usually happens if there is a minor scratch in the skin ( you may not even know if the scratch has happened or not ) .

Following that scratch the bacteria which will be present over the skin gets an entry inside and this causes infection with pus accumulation.

No it is not contagious.

Most of the time boils subside on their own. Don't touch them or pinch them . But if there are big or very painful you need to be started on an Antibiotic course. In that case consult your doctor for prescription.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .

Regards.
