Question : My boyfriend seems to get boil under his armpit or chest 3-4 days after we have sex. I've used a home remedy and one came to a head and burst. I've consulted my doctor and he assures me it's not me, but I don't have an answer for him.

Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what your boyfriend had to go through. It seems less likely to be due to anything relating to you so you shouldn't face extra guilt for that. It can be due to hair follicles infection, most probably due to staph or other bacteria as does the location of boils suggest. Using topical antibiotics as well as systemic or oral antibiotics like augmentin or cephradine may be helpful to limmit infection. Using topical analgesics or anti inflammatory creams may help alongwith OTC analgesics for pain and inflammation. If it doesn't resolve kindly get a dermatologist opinion.
