Suggest Treatment For Borderline Left Anterior Fascicular Block

Question: Hi, Ive recently been diagnosed with 'borderline' LAFB and ventricular ectopics, that caused huge problems with my sleeping, Id get punched in the chest everytime I fell asleep, which would wake me over and over again to the point I couldnt sleep at all. My resting heart rate was frequently over 100bpm at this time. My dr said i was likely born with these issues which seems amazing that Ive never had so many problems with it. I used to be very fit but have had depression and have put on a lot of bodyfat. Id like to lose this and for me this means fairly intense exercise, dieting just doesnt work, I was having more ectopics etc when my heart rate was higher, esp in recovery from exertion. Im 36. My questions are can 'borderline' LAFB become full blown LAFB? What marks it out as 'borderline', seems odd, you dont have borderline diabetes or borderline cancer? Can I exercise safely? What are long term implications? I had limited time with my doctor and these questions arose later when id had time to reflect.

Brief Answer:
You can exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

can 'borderline' LAFB become full blown LAFB?
--Yes, borderline LAFB can become full blown. The conduction defect can become complete.

What marks it out as 'borderline'?
The block in conduction may not be complete. The fasciculi (branch of the electrical impulse conduction system of the heart) might not be defective completely. There is a major amount of conduction still going on through the involved fasciculi.

Can I exercise safely?
--Yes, you can but keep a watch on the density of ectopics.

What are long term implications?
The block goes on progressing and the ectopics density increases causing circulatory disturbances..

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Regards,

Number of ectopics in given time

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Density of ectopics mean number of ectopics in a given time.

Circulatory disturbance is altered blood flow to the organs and altered perfusion into the organs.
