Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

If I have understood your question properly, you are constipated and you manually evacuate 4-5 times per day. The laxative that is prescribed is making it harder. And you want to harmful effect of digital evacuation.

Digital evacuation can cause ulceration in the ano rectal mucosa. This can cause bleeding and mucus discharge.

I would advise you to get evaluated for your bowel issues with tests like colonoc transit study, balloon expulsion test, defecography and anorectal manometry.
You need to get tested for diabetes and hypothyroidism also.
Try to avoid medications that can worsen bowel habits like antidepressants, opioids etc.

Take high fiber diet and drink plenty of fluids. You can take fiber supplements like metamucil or laxatives like miralax for good bowel movements.

I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr.R.K.

I am very pleased with the current process. I control when I go and there's no mess. When left alone my stool comes out as individual balls. it's when I take a laxative that it gets all clogged up. why would I want to mess this up? I've been 'pooping pellets' for 10 years. I have Parkinsons.
Will 'ulceration in the ano rectal mucosa' heal itself? how is it prevented?

Brief Answer:
Sucralfate enema

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Smaller lesions will heal by itself if you avoid straining.
If lesions do not heal, sucralfate enema may be tried.

Thank you for your advice, Dr R.K.. I appreciate you looking at this from my perspective and having an open discussion.

A gastro person I had previously talked to said something about perforated colon.
what do you believe the odds would be and what are the symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Perforated colon unlikely to happen

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Digital evacuation leading to colon perforation is something that unlikely.
Bowel perforation causes symptoms like severe abdominal pain, tense abdomen, etc and it is an emergency.

I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
