Suggest Treatment For Breast Pain Along With Dark Discharge

Question: Hi,
I'm 35 years old and had a baby in XXXXXXX Due to several mastitis and pain, also baby did t want to latch, I gave up breast feeding after a few weeks.
Three weeks ago I squeezed my nipple to see if there was any milk left and was scared to see dark, almost black blood coming out. I went to have a mammogram, an additional ultrasound and also a MRI with contrast liquid of the left breast. Nothing was found in any of the pictures taken. They didn't take a sample of the discharge because when I was there, no discharge could be squeezed out. I had even a second ultrasound after, to get a second opinion. I also asked about IBC, he (a radiologist) said there were no symptoms of this.

My left breast now hurts a lot. There is still some liquid if I squeeze (I try not to though), it's brown/red colour. It's a warm, flaming pain. There's no redness or swelling or other changes to be seen on the outside of the breast.

I am still worried and scared. I google everything all this time. Should I trust the results of the pictures or continue to seek medical options? Why am I experiencing the pain?

My mum and grandmother both had breast cancer. They did a test of it and it turned out not to be the inheritage kind.

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. If MRI is normal, nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details.

So it looks most likely a case of mastitis. As the MRI and ultrasound are normal, there is nothing to worry. But one should take the discharge (whatever can be obtained) and see for abnormal cells, if possible to rule out everything as the slightest possibility also.

Further i'll advise you to be on regular follow up.

Do let me know if you've any further queries
Thanks and Regards

Thank you for your answer. I am also experiencing pain in the lower arm / wrist / elbow on the same side as the breast. I thought first this was after carrying baby on this arm all the time. Now i am worried it might be connected?

Thank you. Still, I am extremely worried about cancer. I think about this all day long and its starting to ruin my days. I have been on antibiotics but it does not seem to change anything.
Should i ask for a ductigram?

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. I would advise to wait a little.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I would advise you to wait a little, complete your antibiotics and take some pain killers. If after one month it does not subside, then you can go for further investigations.
Thanks and regards
