Brief Answer:
For now, I recommend good pain maangement!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this fracture that you have reported. It is rather unfortunate you have to go through this.

I have reviewed your information fully. The most feared complication would have been due to a tight cast but your description of this pain suggests that it is related to the fracture and not the cast. In this case, a good pain management is required. What is the problem with Norco? If seems to work well and I would recommend you continue with it. However, if for any reasons you cannot continue with it, report to your doctor and he would prescribe other medications that can help with the pain just like the norco without necessarily causing the same funny sensations that you do not like.

What is the plan? When would the cast be removed? When are you programmed for review?

In all, if you cannot continue this medication, request for at least other equally efficacious drugs that would not necessarily cause the same symptoms from your doctor.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Would be difficult to tell without examination!

Detailed Answer:
It could be referred pain but then we need to examine and see that this pain is provoked and projected unto this area. Without a proper examination, I cannot make this call. I recommend that you get this hand examined if this pain is out off proportion compared to what it was shortly after the accident.

Keep me updated. I wish you well.
