Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis, Sinusitis And Esophagitis

Posted on Mon, 3 Nov 2014
Question: HI, I've recently been diagnosed with bronchitis, sinusitis, and esophagitis. Within the course of 48 hours, I have taken 20mg of valium, I switched antibiotics from cededinir to levofloxacin, not more than an hour ago I took 500mg, nexium 40mg, and codeine cough syrup with cheratussin AC. My question is, I'm going to a halloween party tonight. Will I be able to consume any alcoholic beverages? If so, how many drinks should I be limited to tonight, and what would be the best alcoholic beverage to drink? I just want to be careful about my health, and make sure nothing bad happens.

Thanks!

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

Ideally since you are currently battling an infection you should try to avoid alcoholic beverages. I understand that you want to enjoy a fine fermented beverage with your friends and with the medications that you are currently taking I would recommend that you limit your consumption to no more than two or three drinks.

In addition please balance your consumption of alcohol with water. Try to drink a few glasses of water as well at the party.

Finally try to getsome extra rest over the weekend and hopefully you will feel better soon.

Thanks again for sharing your healthcare concerns with us.

Sincerely,

Okay, and also I know smoking any kind of smoke including marijuana and cigeratte smoke is bad for you especially when your sick such as myself. How about eating weed edibles though? I feel like they have been helping me. Will that slow down the healing process or anything? I have my marijuana card, and have gotten these from the dispensary.

Thank you so much,

Detailed Answer:
thanks for the additional information.

I really see no need for marijuana in your case. I am not sure how this is actually providing you with a benefit in terms of general health.

I think minimal use of marijuana would be most effective for you. In the meantime a very good exercise and diet regimen as needed.
