Brief Answer:
fluids, a mucolytic, antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Bronchitis refers to inflammation of part of the lungs called the bronchi. These are the air passages that extend from the trachea (windpipe) to the very small airways.

A persistent cough is the most common symptom. This cough is normally productive of sputum including green sputum like you are describing.

This means that you likely already have bronchitis or on you way to developing it.

Treatment
(1) fluids and rest- the fluids would help to break up the mucus in the chest so that it would be expelled easier
(2)a mucolytic- this is medication to break up the mucus , also to help it be expelled

Eg mucomyst, bisolvan, guaifenesin

(3)an antibiotic may be needed from your doctor

(4) in some cases, if there is severe inflammation of the chest- a short course of oral steroid is required

In the nutshell, inview of your past history and the nature of current symptoms as well as your age, I would recommend you starting the aforementioned medications at the earliest. Please note those are prescription only drugs.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
