Question: I think I have a dislocated disc after a car accident this month. There is a bulge on my spine about the height of the heart in front. What kind of treatment should I seek, and what might be the possible outcome?

Brief Answer:
Needs work up and management

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read our question and i understand your concern. Car injury 16 days ago followed by bulge on spine area with severe pain at waist levels could be just a soft tissue injury pain and tizanidine along with ibuprofen etc will help with the pain. However one should proceed with work up for any disc bulge compressing on the nerve roots, and MRI scan of lumbar sacral spine is needed to rule that out . Talk to your doctor, let them consider you for MRI to rule out disc prolapse and then decide accordingly. Meanwhile continue with heating pads, good posture, physiotherapy exercises and avoid bending or lifting heavy weights.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
