Suggest Treatment For Bump On The Penile Shaft

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Apr 2015
Question: Hi. I haven't been sexually active in a year. Three months ago I notice a bump at the base of the shaft. Colorless painless. Went away on it's own in a couple days. Month later another small one around same area. Same result went away in it's own in a couple days. Most recent one was last week. Tiny hard little bump which was in pubic area that practically could be scratched off and now it is gone. All are not painful and go away in a few days. I've done research and doesn't not look or sound like any std. Just kind of worried and curios

Brief Answer:
Possible STD

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have noticed a colorless painless lump at the base of your penis 3 different times over the past three months. Are these lumps actually blisters? If they are blisters then there is a likelihood it is herpes. If these are hard lumps without blistering then they could be sebaceous cysts. The sebaceous cyst is a gland around the scrotum that gets blocked and creates a hard lump. The next time you have a lesion like this I recommend you either get a picture of the lesion and send it to use or seek your medical provider to have them visualize it.

In summary
1. lump possible sebaceous cyst
2. If blister then possible herpes
3. Take picture of the lesion or seek medical advice
