Suggest Treatment For Bump On The Right Side Of The Sternum
Question: hi on my right side right below my ribs i feel a little bump someone told me it is extra cartilage, it is not very big like about one inch in diameter and feels like it is right underneath the rib and right below the lowest rib on the right side by my sternum

The xiphoid process is the lowest part of the sternum and in midline. Therefore if it is away from the midline to the right side then it is probably the cartilage connecting the rib to the sternum.
2. Stress is unlikely to cause any misalignment of ribs and this is not a probability.
3. To be double sure you can request your doctor to recommend a x ray and ultrasound scan of the region and it will show up if there is any abnormal lump in the location.
