Question: Burning skin had shingles about 15 years ago, have this burning sensation in my back left side runs down left side of body, second time this year, take motrin

Shingles involves nerves and hence this pain is there.
Burning sensation after 15 years suggests reactivation of disease.
Motrin is a pain killer medication over usage can use gastric ulcers.
Better avoid that.
I treat such cases with a course of antiviral drug like acyclovir and a nerve soothing agent like Pregabaline.
Both the above medication are prescription drugs.
You need to meet a doctor and get it prescribed.
