Question : about a week ago i burned my foreskin with a very hot drink and it is not healing infact i think it is infected, is fucidin cream the best treatment and if not what is ?
Brief Answer:
Better to get examined by your doctor.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
As you had the event one week ago and the wound has not healed till now, probably you have got a deep burn.
This can not be managed with topical ointments alone. After having a direct examination to assess the depth and present condition of the wound, this might need treatment with oral antibiotics along with ointments. Ointment preferred for thermal burn wounds is silver sulfadiazine. Also, you need to take a tetanus shot, if you had not one recently.
Kindly see your doctor without delay to avoid complications like phimosis and paraphimosis.
Meanwhile, keep the area clean and dry.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.
