Brief Answer:
Please provide more information on your concern!
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, could you please specify the type of the drug and some information about the patient details (age, sex, past medical history) and complaints?
I think you may have written wrong the name of the drug.
Did you intend metoprolol? What are the patient actual heart rate and blood pressure values?
I remain at your disposal, for further details in order to give a more professional opinion.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri

Brief Answer:
I recommend going to the nearest ER service.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the additional information!
Coming to this point, I would recommend bringing him to the ER in order to exclude life threatening cardiac arrhythmia or myocardial ischemia ( which can be triggered by meth).
In is important performing a careful physical exam, coupled with some tests:
- resting ECG and cardiac enzymes
- chest x-ray study
- complete blood count
- blood electrolytes
- fasting glucose
- kidney and liver function tests.
He may need a more urgent and professional treatment, coupled with a close monitoring of his blood pressure and heart rhythm under medical supervision.
Let me know about everything!
