Brief Answer:
The shiny reflection is normal when an artificial lens is implanted

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Following the surgery for any type of cataract, when Intra Ocular Lens (IOL) is implanted, a shiny reflection is visible inside the eye. Furthermore, you will observe that if you move your head or the source of light, the reflection moves in the opposite direction. It is absolutely normal and there is nothing to worry about it. It is caused due to the difference in refractive index of the artificial lens material. You need not do anything about it.

Hope that helps
