Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion And Cough

Question : For child of 11 years, having weeping problem and chest if full of congestion (not able to breathe easily) and this severe condition is from last 15 days. 2 days back doctor prescribed nebulizer with asthaline 8 times a day, wherein after taking it twice in the first 3 hours the child situation was better and internal weeping we are not sure of, and it was relaxing in coughing. Now today doctor said internal weeping is much and has decreased 20% only so he has prescribed duolin respules, but we found on internet that this can't be given to person below 12 years, and even he mentioned to take it once in a day.

Please suggest.

Thanks for your query.

The better choice would be Asthalin but in cases where asthalin don't work Duolin can be given.

Need not worry there is no risk in giving Duolin to children of age 11.

Yes, once a day dose would suffice for a 11 year old with resistant wheezing.
