Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Breathlessness While Lying Down

Question: Thank You, I have what the doctors think is C.O.P.D with M.C.S. I take shots every week and they put me on Spiriva & when things get worse I go on Prednisone I having Chest pain and my lungs are filling up when I lay down. This happened real fast in one year I am 66 years old non smoker for 25 years and teach Tai Chi 25 years could this be cancer? These doctors seem to be like a cattle drive and the x-rays show nothing wrong?

I can understand your concern.
Breathlessness on in lying down position in COPD patients suggest either Pulmonary hypertension or left sided heart failure.
So better to get done ecg and 2d echo to rule out both these conditions.
You may need additional diuretic therapy.
Rarely Pulmonary embolism can cause similar symptoms.
Lung cancer is unlikely cause for this symptom.
And you are also having normal chest x ray, so possibility of lung cancer is very very less.
