Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And High Troponin Levels

Question : Hi, I was recently in the hospital for chest pain, high triptonin levels, which I am having a catherization for tomorrow. My CBC in the hospital said my WBC was fine, but I had high neutrophils, automated lymphocytes, monocytes and automated eosinophils. My RBC was also a tiny bit low. Everything else was normal. Any ideas of what could cause this? No one has mentioned it to me, I just reviewed the tests myself. Thanks! XXXX

Hi,
Thank you for contacting HCM. From the history that you are telling and that your results were troponin positive is most likely suggestive of episode of myocardial infarction. You need to start taking aspirin, clopidogrel and metoprolol beta blocker. Your ECG may have shown ST elevation. In you angiography, they would try to look for how many vessels are blocked and they would accordingly decide whether to go for stenting or CABG. I hope it helps.

I did have a nuclear stress test yesterday and it shows a shadow. I am having the XXXXXXX tomorrow. I just wondered about the blood work. I am on medicine for my condition. Thanks!
