Question : i get chills and fever about every 5 or 6 weeks. I saw specialist s last year and all tests came back negative. The doctors are attributing it to cellulitis although i do not think that is the cause. LAst year I had a seven month break from it. Then in November, 2016 it started up again. Any ideas?

                                    Brief Answer:
Periodic fever syndrome most likely
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I understand your concern. There is a condition called Periodic fever syndrome and it is characterized mainly by recurring unexplained fever, while the tests and blood work do not show anything wrong.
It is not yet clear what causes it, but is sometimes hereditary.
After having excluded all possible causes, there is not much that can be done, except conservative measures. Sometimes people grow out of it, but most of the time it is not curable.
I hope this helps. If you have further questions I'd be happy to answer them.
Wishing you all the best.
Kind regards
