Question: Hi doctor. I am a UTI patient for the last 12 years. For the last 1 year I stopped experiencing UTI. Now all of a sudden I felt spasms and discomfort after urinating. Went to see doctor who asked me to do few blood tests, uriflowmethy and ultrasound. Blood reports are seems to be fine. Urine routine and urine culture shows no growth. Uroflowmetry seems ok. But ultrasound shows internal echoes in the lumen of urinary bladder. Also few nabothian cysts in cervix. What internal echoes means? I hope all is fine

Brief Answer:
Recurrent UTI should be the problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, I can understand your concern. In females, similar clinical symptoms are seen commonly in chronic UTI.
You need to do the following tests, if you don't get relief after present course of treatment:
1. blood tests: Hb, RBS,creatinine, LFT,and platelets.
2. cystoscopy.
Drink about 8-10 glasses of fluids daily.
The internal echoes could be due to debris from chronic UTI,blood clots our even small stones. This can be confirmed by doing a cystoscopy, preferably after doing a CT-IVU
Wish you a speedy recovery. You're welcome to send the reports here, for an expert opinion.

Brief Answer:
Cystoscopy is a minor routine procedure.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
There's nothing to worry about cystoscopy. It's done routinely in people having similar symptoms and no specific cause found on other tests. Your reports are grossly normal.
Wish you well.
