Suggest Treatment For Chronic Anxiety, Dizziness, Fatigue And Drowsiness

Question: Suffering from anxiety for more than 9 years. All the day Dizziness fatigueheart rate some times
Sleepy..etc
Lately using anti depression like alpozlam for one year but finally stop because of side effects
My memory is not good
Finally I discovered that the only thing that help me is having sex
And start to believe that not doing that in regular basis might even be the reason for my anxiety

It is My life style …travelling alot that’s why might not be possible to do sex...sometimes for months

My question this hormones or change in brain chemistry during sex ..is there any other way that my body got the same hormones or whatever to simulate and got the same ...it is really the only for me

I can understand your concern. I will go into a little details to make you understand normal physiology during sexual intercourse. In our body there is a natural reward system which is located into an area of brain that is called a hypothalamus. During intercourse hypothalamus and other areas of brain especially Limbic System secretes a number of biochemicals like endorphins, neurotransmitters like Dopamine etc. Hormones like Oxytocin are also secreted. These all biochemical acts collectively to give that pleasurable effects. Endorphins are nothing but endogenous peptides which help to boost mood after intercourse and this is the reason individuals develop more and more liking for intercourse. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is also called Pleasure Hormone. Due to sexual activity body secretes these chemicals which cause pleasure.

If we consider any activity that cause similar chemicals secretion then in my opinion exercise is one of such activity. After strenuous exercise endorphins come into the blood and they lift up the mood. So if you want natural method then exercise is one of the natural method to increase the endorphins secretion and to lift the mood. Masturbation is also one of method that can give you similar chemical changes that are lifting your mood.

Any activity that gives pleasure to body like shopping, moving out with friends, watching a good movie, meeting someone you love etc, results in secretion of Dopamine from brain and this gives pleasure. The pleasure then lift up the mood.

So apart from sexual intercourse engage yourself in exercise which will also give you similar effects. Spend your time in doing constructive activities and you will feel the difference. Take meals with high proteins and complex carbs and low in fats and this would help to improve your mood.

Hormone tablets would not help much in reward mechanism.

Hello thanks for asking from us again

The biochemical process involved in reward mechanism is a complex process and is interplay of various hormones and neurotransmitters. Taking any hormone tablet would not help much because no single hormone is involved in it. Balanced DOPAMINE concentration is needed for proper functioning of reward system.

Xanax is benzodiazepine and is some times used in depression but it is not a first line drug for depression. Some drugs like SSRIs especially Sertraline or other drugs like Bupropion etc can help to provide good control of depressive disorders and this will help in good functioning also.

Some drugs especially Amphetamines, Modafinil etc can also help to build your activity and you can feel better. Amphetamines are known to result in tolerance and have abuse potential so use of these drugs should not be for long periods of time. Visit a doctor for proper prescription and evaluation.

Exercise daily and do activities that provide pleasure to you and you will feel good.
