Brief Answer:
Need to find out the cause of the pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I can understand your condition. You are taking painkillers for such a long time, and still there is no relief . Taking painkiller isn't good for health. I think first we have to find out the cause of the pain. I would suggest you following.
1. Get a repeat MRI to see if still there is nerve compression.
2.Steroid injection in spine can help you.
3. Physiotherapy can also help you. Back muscle exercise and hot water fomentation.
4.I would also suggest you to meet a pain specialist and discuss your pain intensity. He can put you on safe and effective doses.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other follow up questions.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Do not go for surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I would not recommend you to go for neck surgery without taking a second opinion. Your leg pain is not going to benefited from this surgery. I would also recommend you to try alternative medicines like acupressure. Try to avoid taking medicines.
You can share your MRI reports with me.We can see if there is any need of surgery or not.
thanks.
