Question : i was on Oxycodone-apap 10-325, how much over the counter acetaminophen can I take? My pain management doctor told me I had my choice, stop the Zanax or the Percocet.
I have chronic back pain my back surgery was scheduled for 8-5-2016, I had a stroke 7-7-2016.

Hello,

the highest acceptable dosage for acetaminophen is 4 grams per day (divided in 4-8 doses). Oxycodone-acetaminophen (paracetamol) 10-325 means that there are 10mg of oxycodone and 325mg of acetaminophen. Each dose shouldn't be more than 1 gram.

Acetaminophen alone is not as potent as the combination with oxycodone.
