Detailed Answer:
Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic
I have read your query and I can understand your problem. You had surgeries for Hemorrhoids and then for fissure. You have chronic constipation. I would like to tell you that one of main reason for haemorrhoids and fissure is constipation. If you can prevent constipation then you can avoid surgery. I would advise you to-
-You should be aware of this, have high fibre food. Take plenty of vegetables like cucumber, salads, leafy vegetables in food.
-Drink plenty of fluids, water, juices to soften the stools.
-Avoid excess use of miralax as it will increase the tolerance. But for some time you can use it daily, after some months gradually reduce the doses.
-Dont strain during defecation, also don't hold for long. This increased the risk of constipation.
-Exercise daily and increase activity level which will decrease constipation.
-If you want to avoid miralax you can use natural methods like castol oils.
- Certain exercises help in strengthening the anus like Torso Circle Exercise. Practice it daily and next surgery will be prevented. You can take help of youtube for that.
-Drinking lukewarm water about 1 hours before defecation time will instantly soften the stools and risk will decrease.
Thanks, follow these steps and you will be alright. Ask again for more doubts.
What would you recommend to a person that does not eat veggies? Ive tried multiple times and i can not do it. I can taste the iron and the different textures, i just cant get passed them.
Non plant sources of fibres
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking again
If you don't eat much plant foods then I would advise you to-
- Have fish, chicken more than other foods as they don't worsen the constipation.
- You can take whole wheat bread, multi grain breads. These will improve the constipation.
- Eat at least on banana per day along with lukewarm water. This will help to soften the stools.
- Nuts like walnuts, peanuts are good source of fibres so if you can take it then that will be wonderful.
- Some powder laxatives are relatively safe to take for long as compared to medicinal laxatives. These consist of fibres only, but are difficult to take orally.
- Avoid excess iron and calcium tablets as they just worsen the symptoms.
Thankyou. Hope this helps you.
