Question : Before diagnosing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome do doctors test for Hepatitus C to rule it out? Or would they have tested for it in the recent past?

Chronic hepatitis like hepatitis C do cause fatigue and it is important to exclude all pathological conditions that can mimic chronic fatigue syndrome,this may be the reason for testing hepatitis C.
Fatigue is seen in many medical conditions,so chronic fatigue syndrome should be diagnosed very cautiously.Other conditions like depression,sleep disorder,alcohol use,hypothyroidism,lyme 's disease,diabetes mellitus etc should also be ruled out as these conditions may cause same symptoms.
