Question : I had pleural fluid removed and analyzed. The only tests that have come back so far that are out of the normal range is Nucleated cells 980. Triglicydes, protein, LDH and glucose are all within normal limits. the color was described as cloudy and it looked kind of orangy like concentrated urine to me. I was diagnosed with pneumonia on 12 28

Thanks for your queries; in fact it it usual to get worried with this kind of high WBC/nucleated cell count in the pleural fluid without any other abnormal values!

But, still, I would like to know the total amount of fluid in your cavity and the percentage of different cells in the report. Please write the x-ray or CT-SCAN findings also! Are you a smoker? Any significant environmental pollution history?

Therefore please give more details of your report so that I can conclude something!
