Suggest Treatment For Chronic Pain Due To Degenerative Disc Disease

default
Posted on Fri, 4 Apr 2014
Question: I was diagnosed five years ago with autoimmune celiac disease. Shortly after came arthritis and degenerative disc disease, and last but not least fibromyalgia. My pain is debilitating most of the time. I have severe chronic pain 80 percent of the time. I cannot find help. I seemed to get passed around from doc to doc. So it becomes my problem and not theirs. There's not a day that goes by that I don't contemplate taking my life so I am not such a burden on my family and to end my suffering. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer: start medicines i m prescribing and send reports Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for your query. Please let me know the medication you are taking and also the drugs that you are on for your arthritis. In case you are not on methotrexate, start it with 10 mg on monday morning only, every week. Rest of the six days take folic acid 10 mg at the same time. Regarding your back ache you need to send in the MRI pictures and only then I can suggest some treatment. Start tab duloxetine after breakfast daily. Follow it for 15 days and let me know the difference. In the mean time get a CRP done and send me the reports of your MRI back films. Regards
