Question : I have had killer headache for 5 or 6 months now, the pain originating from behind the ears, my doctor recommended ultrasound, report attached, she then said that is likely an infection and prescribed antibiotic, but things didn't get any better, i re-visited, and she prescribed another antibiotic, still nothing changed, she then asked for CT-scan, report attached also.
I can easily feel the nodes behind my ears, of hard nature, and causing hell of headache.

What should I do to get rid of this headache?? should I visit a doctor of another specialty?
Could this be anything dangerous?

I have seen recommendations of biopsy everywhere on the internet, so please don't just give this answer.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I am sorry about the symptoms you have been experiencing.

I studied the reports you have provided, however in neither of them is provided any detail regarding the brain. The ultrasound is of the neck, while the CT seems to be only of the sinuses and the nasal cavities, there is no mentioning of the brain matter or your ears.

Now regarding the lymph nodes both the reports regard them as reactive, meaning as a response to an infection (you do not mention fever or other signs?)so they shouldn't be dangerous in themselves. They also do not cause headache can be painful on palpation but not cause headache.

So if your pain is indeed headache, and not superficial pain of the lymph nodes you need a proper imaging exam like a head MRI and consult a neurologist. If though what you mean is pain of the nodes themselves and not the head, then you should consult a hematologist. Initial tests for their evaluation should be complete blood count. If the nature of the nodes is suspect according also to the blood count findings the hematologist may require a biopsy, I am sorry but that is a possibility as well.

I remain at your disposal for other questions.
