Suggest Treatment For Clogged Pores On Skin

Question: Hi... I am a 31 year old woman in decent health . I consume a relatively healthy diet and drink plenty of water. I am a redhead with lots of freckles, thank the Lord for this. If it weren't for my freckles, you would be able to immediately notice my pores and all of my black heads!!! Although I only occasionally get pimples and don't have overly oily or dry skin, I swear EVERY single pore on my ENTIRE body is clogged. Not just my face either, pores in all areas of my body- even if the crap inside the pore doesn't create an obvious black head, if I squeeze it, an oil plug or pus will come out. My chest, my arms, my stomach, my hands and fingers even...no area of my body is exempt! Besides using 'black head clearing' face and body washes... (like Biore and Neutrogina-believe me I have tried them all...) What can I do?

Brief Answer:
clean, steam, cool

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for consulting us. The best method for unclogging pores is to first wash the skin with warm water and a mild soap. Next you boil some water then pour it into a bowl and gently steam the skin. It is very important to have the skin very clean before you steam it. Be careful not to get to close and keep eyes closed as you steam your face. The next step is to apply cool compresses to the skin. Good luck to you and I hope this helps.

Ok so you addressed the pores on my face, but what about the rest of my body? Obviously I have tried steaming, this is almost common sense.I think I must need some kind of medication since all the pores in my body are clogged.

Brief Answer:
see a dermatologist

Detailed Answer:
I do not know of a medication that will decrease the size of pores. Steam opens up the pores. You can use the wash, steam, cool compress procedure anywhere on your body, but I understand this is a lot if you have these pores everywhere. Perhaps a dermatologist would have more suggestions for you. I wish you the best.
