Suggest Treatment For Cold And Chronic Sinusitis

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Jan 2017
Question: I am recovering from a cold and have chronic sinusitis. About a week ago I noticed a tingling on the left side of my face which is now on both sides of my face. I also have a sense of my face feeling full or feeling tight, mostly on my cheeks but sometimes up the sides of my face and on my chin. The symptoms are worse sitting and standing and pretty much disappear when I'm laying down. Also, they don't start in the morning until I'm up an hour or two. I also have neck and back issues and had a chiropractor adjustment about 5 days before I first noticed the tingling. I'm generally very anxious as well but don't take any medicine for it.

Brief Answer:
Discontinue sudafed

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
I really appreciate your concern
looking at your description it seems to be related to sudafed drug you have taken for cold.

here, I would like to know when you have taken the last pill?
do you have any other history of hypertension, diabetes or thyroid disease?

In my opinion you should make an appointment to your GP for physical examination, recording of Blood Pressure and accordingly symptomatic treatment.

anxiety and drowsiness might be related to sudafed, I would advise you to stop sudafed and use xylometazoline nasal drops or spray for cold and sinusitis.

hope this answers your question, please feel free to ask for further details, I will be happy to help you.
regards
