Question : Hi Doctor, my child has regular cold and cough almost every month once, what will be remedy for this? Or children at this age are more prone to cold and cough allergies?

Hi,

Thanks for posting the query,

Cold and cough every month cured with out any antibiotic is normal till child's 3 to 4 years.

Just try to limit the medicines used to cure cough and cold. Stick to natural self cure methods like home remedies like honey for cough. Steam inhalation for cold. nasal saline drops for congested nose. Once child acquires the immunity by age 5 all these issues will be reduced by it self.

Introduce more fruits which are rich in vitamin C.
