Question : Hi,
My father has undergone bypass surgery 8 Months ago.He is suffering from cold and cough.Can you please let me know if we can use AMBROXOL HYDROCHLORIDE & GUAIPHENESIN SYRUP or can you suggest any best medicine

I have read your query and understand your concern.

After reading your clinical history, it appears that your father is most probably having upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).

If I were your father treating doctor, I would advice to
continue AMBROXOL HYDROCHLORIDE & GUAIPHENESIN SYRUP for cough &
Use Steam Inhalation twice daily & Antihistaminic levocetirizine at night for cold.

You can discuss this with your treating doctor.
