Question : I am just now getting over a cold that has lingered since Monday of this week. Indeed, after feeling around in my ear lobe this morning, a few hours later my ear has been hurting. The pain has radiated from mild to below mild. AS of now the pain is slightly tolerable. I have tried Hyland's Earache Drops and this seem to had worked for a moment but after about an hour, the pain came back.
What should I do?

Your associated ear pain is also because of the same infection..
I will advice you to try ibuprofen , cetirizine and acetaminophen for 2 to 3 days.
Steam inhalation will be very helpful.
