Brief Answer:
Cheston Cold is ok to give but avoid zemoflam D.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Your wife's problem could be due to viral upper respiratory infection. For this adequate rest , fluids and symptomatic relief will be enough.

You can give cheston cold. It contains paracetamol , phenylpropanol amine and cetirizine - anti pyretic , nasal decongesants and antihistamine respectively. This can control her symptoms. Zemoflam D should be avoided as it an cause decrease in platelets in some viral fever.

You can also give chewable vitamin C , warm fluids like warm chicken soup with pepper , lemon tea etc. Steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil will be soothing also.

If there is yellowish phlegm or no improvement after 3 days then consult your GP as in such case antibiotics will be required and blood routine examination and platelet count will be needed also.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
