Suggest Treatment For Cold, Cough And Vomiting

Question: Hi,
My daughter is five year old. She is suffering from cold & cough since two days. In general every month she shows the tendency of cold & cough. Due to this she discontinued school for one or two days. She also vomit during traveling (in school bus) & lunch time in school. Her weight is 18Kg.
Please advise necessary medicine & suggestions.

Hi Thanks for writing to us

Usually cold and cough occurring every month is unlikely to be infection. Allergic cold and cough is very likely possibility in your child.
I usually advice such patients to go for allergy testing which can identify the trigger factors.
I also recommend them monteluekast 4mg daily in the evening to control and prevent repeated cold attacks.
It is better to get flu vaccination done every year as this will prevent repeated infections.
