Question : Hello Doctor,

I'm having cold for last 5days and struggling with blocked nose.. Also sometimes I feel like I'm having fever. what is the right medicine for me.. I took citrizen tablet once and 3 paracetamol but no improvement..

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
You seem to be suffering from Upper Respiratory Tract infection (URTI).
In such case I usually advice a combination of anti Allergic like Levocetrizine along with Decongestant like Pseudoephedrine. For fever and body aches Paracetamol is the best. In fact there are a lot many preparations available in market which contains all of these in a single tablet. Common one are Sinarest, Wikoryl.
For blocked nose steam inhalation is the best and in severe cases Oxymetazoline nasal drops helps.
See your doctor and share my opinion, he would prescribe you these medicines and you would be fine with 3-5 days.
