Question : My son is two and a half yrs he is having severe cold n conjution. Fdoctor adviced him to take levolin for five days 3 ml 3 times but no relief. Not passing motion also from past 3 days

Hi
I understand your concerns but don't worry. Most likely reason for such symptoms in toddlers is a self limiting viral infection. Levolin will only help by improving airway resistance and congestion. It won't improve the symptoms completely.

I would recommend you to start him on antihistamine such as Syp. Maxtra and Syp. Ambrodil S for better relief. Also, nasoclear drops for blocked nose will be of help. If the symptoms do not improve in next 2 days or he develops high grade fever, then chest X Ray and blood test to rule out bacterial cause will be useful. You may give him Syp. Lactulose for constipation.
