Question : I got back from taking wife to eye doctor. I've had cold symptoms for about 24 hours or so. It was cold so I did sit in rather warm conditions in the car. At home my temp is varying from about 101.3 to 102.3 I haven't taken anything for it yet because I just discovered this over the past 30 minutes. I had a flu shot about a month ago. My wife is getting over her cold after about a week. I'm pretty achy with a little sneezing and coughing. Starting feel a bit nauseated. Advice Before I knew about the temp my doc's ARNP said she could see me tomorrow at about 2:30. I have hx. of asthma which very seldom acts up.

Sounds like a URTI

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTION.
It's possible you caught the infection from your wife.
This may happen despite flu shot. It doesn't protect against all viruses.
I suggest following steps -
1. warm saline gargles 4 times a day
2. steam inhalation 4 times a day,
3. multivitamins course once a day
4. paracetamol sos.
5. plenty of fluids.
Antibiotics may be needed.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
