Suggest Treatment For Cold

Question: Hi,

I have been suffering from cold from 3 days
I am using levocetirizine...but still my cold is not contained
As of now..no cough yet

Please suggest any other medications which doesn't give a drowsiness feeling as i work ?

Hi XXXXXXX Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.

I'm sorry to hear about your cold. Your on the right track. Cetrizine should help, OTC medications like Sinarest will help as well. Make sure you take plenty of fluids.

One other remedy that I find very useful is putting a small dollop of iodex balm in boiling water and inhaling the steam, helps clear the airways quite well.

If the cold lasts much beyond 7 days, then you will need to consult a doctor for a course of antibiotics.
