Question : I had an operation to my quad and now have a very hot knee I have been told it may be fluid on knee that needs to be taken off does that sound likely?

It could be collection of fluid that might get infected. It might need to be drained out to relieve your symptoms. Meanwhile take antiinflammatory drug like ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.
