Suggest Treatment For Constant Electric Pain From Thigh Through Knee To The Calf

Question: Hit thigh in Sept 2014. Had bruising, occasional pain. Now, I have constant electric pain down to calf and swelling around knee. Why ?
Brief Answer:
Hematoma or nerve injury should be ruled out.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Hematoma or nerve injury can be the reason. So those should be ruled out. Examination by an orthopedian followed by x ray will be helpful to rule out this.
In case of any hematoma suppressing blood vessels or nerves it should be evacuated surgically. Ice pack application, NSAIDs like nimusulide, neurotropic drugs and physiotherapy will be helpful also.
A consultation with an orthopedian is well appreciated.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
Thanks.
